One of my goals for the new year is to keep up on blogging! I am not very good at keeping a journal, so for my families sake I need to do this. My boys love to come to our blog and see what mom has done. It makes them feel special. I want to also try printing my post out and keeping them as a journal, for a hard copy. Wish me luck! We are still alive!!

Once again I don't know where the time has gone. Our little family has gone, done and experienced so many blog worthy events in the last few months. I am so sad and mad at myself for not getting them posted. But this crazy mom of three very active growing little boys is overloaded! Blogging is just something right now that I seem not to be able to fit in. I do seem to have a few minutes here and there to read what everyone else is blogging about, but posting something takes to much effort for me right now! So I am sorry I have not keep you updated. We are still trying to sell our house and my time is consumed with cleaning trying to keep up with the many showing we are having lately. In the 10 days a lone we have had over a dozen showing. Showings stress me out! To add to the stress load I excepted a job working for the county at the public health center in Sandy, as a peer counselor. I applied 8 months ago for the job got an interview, but did not get the job. At the time they decided on someone else. But, they liked me so much, they came looking for me to offer me the job. I was thrilled and it felt good to know I had left a good impression with them. So with all that, life right now for me is just getting a little overwhelming. So I hope to try every once in awhile to update you on our happenings.

Over the weekend the boys got new beds (new to us!!) Thanks Heidi and Robert for being so generous. Poor Logan is almost 3 and is finally getting out of the crib. He was so excited to get a big boy bed. He is doing great sleeping in his new bed, except for the fact that he has fallen onto the floor every night since we got them! Hopefully he can get used to it soon! The other big change is we put Lincoln in the room with Logan. I was really worried about doing this. I feared they would not go to bed well and stay up talking, getting out of bed together and waking each other up. So far it has been working out great. It is cute to go into their room and seeing them both sleeping in the same room together. I can not believe how big they are getting. They are truly becoming best buds. It is fun to watch. With the change of the beds, Lance is now getting to sleep in a crib and out of mom and dad's room. He is not liking it and I think it will take sometime for him to get used to his new surroundings. It is going to be weird for me to not having my little baby right next to me. (to clarify, no Lance has not been sleeping in our bed with us, the poor little guy sleeps in a port-a-crib in our walk-in closet!!) We had to find somewhere to put the little guy where it was quiet! And don't worry we don't shut the door and leave the poor kid in there with no air circulation. I know a few of you out there are thinking to yourselves what crazy parents. Well you gotta do what you gotta do!! We love our boys so much!

Look who is 1

On January 7th Lance turned the big ONE!! I really can not believe it. Even though he is doing everything normal 1 year old boys do, he is still really tiny. At his year check up he weighed 17lbs 7oz. I can not remember his exact height, but I think it was approximately 27 inches. He is very petite for his age, but he is growing so the doctor doesn't seem to be to worried. He has been a great joy to have in our home over the last year and has brought us so much happiness. I could not have asked for an easier baby. My Heavenly Father know this mom (meaning me!) needed a sweet, easy going to baby for the third!! Lance is a very active little guy. He could win any speed crawling contest out there! He climbs our huge flight of stairs great, just not the best at going down:( We call him our home wrecker!! His favorite thing to do is to take everything out of the cupboards, draws, book shelves and laundry baskets. It is cute to watch, but annoying to clean up!

For his birthday we had a little family party at our house (well not so little, we had 10 adults and almost 15 kids there!!) It was so fun! I made his cake, it was really fun to make, it was a birthday hat!! If you notice in the picture the top of the hat has a bunch of frosting scraped off, that would be from Lance he really wanted the cake right then.

He loved that I put a whole cupcake on his tray. There was no hesitation at all, he dug right in and loved every minute of it!!

All the kids eating their cake and ice cream in the kitchen so we didn't have a huge mess all over. I would have to say, with that many people in our small house things never really get to out of control.

Ice skating

Michael's mom for Christmas every year gives the grand kids a fun party as part of her gift to them. This year we went ice skating! Lincoln and Logan have never done this before or even seen a ice rink. They were so excited to be able to go skating. Here are just a few photos from the night. Once again I had a hard time narrowing it down to just a few!! I take to many pictures!! Thanks Lulu for a fun night!!

Christmas Day 2009

The last 6 months for our family has been a very trying time. Michael lost him job in June and was out of work for 4 months. We have struggled financially since then trying to get back on our feet. We knew Christmas for our family was going to be one of very little, which we were OK with. We just felt bad that our sweet little boys would not be getting from Santa what they asked for. We were so blessed this Christmas with so much giving. Our little boys did not go without, and to be honest got more then I would have liked for them to get. I was thrilled to death Christmas Eve after everything was wrapped and placed under the tree to see how beautiful everything looked and was gitty with excitement to see Lincoln and Logan's faces Christmas morning!!

For at least 2 Christmas's I have really wanted a new digital camera. It never seemed to be in the budget to get a new one. I was really disappointed that another Christmas was going to go by where I was not going to get my camera. Well I have the dearest friend/neighbor who knew I needed and wanted a new one. She took it upon herself to get 10 other close friends of mine in my ward to get me a new camera. She brought it over to us a few nights before Christmas and I was shocked and I am still shocked that I have a awesome new camera. Even my Christmas wishes came true!! Thank you so much Heather and to all the other dear friends I have for making this Christmas truly magical.

Lance thought opening presents was the greatest thing. We loved the paper! When Lincoln took the pink pig out of a gift bag for him his face lite up! He loves soft, fuzzy things. He puts them up to his face and immediately puts his thumb in is mouth!!

After a great Christmas breakfast and fun with the new toys we headed to the rehabilitation center where Grandpa Kirby is staying to wish him a Merry Christmas.

This is just a ramdom picture we took of Lance that we thought was cute. I had so many pictures from Christmas it was really hard to narrow it down.

After visiting with Grandpa Kirby we headed south to Springville to spend Christmas evening with my family. We had a great time and we were all spoiled by my parents. Thanks mom and dad!!

Christmas Eve 2009

Michael had to work on Christmas Eve until 5:30, so we spent the afternoon at my parents having a little Christmas Eve party with my siblings and their families. We had a great time eating lots of yummy food, decorating sugar cookies for Santa, teaching the kids about the real meaning of Christmas, and just having a great time together as a family.

After we got home from grandpa and grandma's the boys had fun writing a note to Santa thanking him for all their gifts and telling him to enjoy the cookies they decorated for him.

On the Saturday before Christmas the boys and I made some yummy fudge to take to our neighbors. They had so much fun helping me make it and deliver it. We delivered 25 plates of fudge!! I am sad I didn't get pictures of them bundled up and knocking on doors giving the treats away. We were so blessed this Christmas season. If you were on of the secret elf's that made this Christmas so great for my boys- Thank you!!

A fun night with friends!

Thursday night we had the privilege of having my girlfriend Angie's kids over for the evening. Lincoln and Logan were so excited to have them come over. They are the cutest little girls.

Winter Wonderland Celebration

Last week Lincoln's preschool class had a winter wonderland party. I am so thankful for my dear friend Linda Alder for watching my kids and my nieces, who I tend everyday, so I could go and help with the party, spend time with Lincoln in his classroom and then have school lunch with Lincoln. Thanks Linda!

They made some really cute, fun items. They made snowflakes out of popsicle sticks and then decorated them with glitter. They went on a search throughout the school for the missing gingerbread man, and then once they found him back in the classroom they go to decorate their own gingerbread man. They also made little snowmen out of marshmallows and pretzels (Lincoln wanted to make a robot instead!!).

Lincoln was so proud of his bird feeder that when he got home from school he immediately wanted to hang it outside on the tree for the birds.

So I picked Lincoln up from school the other day, and on the drive home he mentioned he wanted to go to a fun place. I told him we could go to a fun place! I then asked him what is a fun place? He responded back by telling me the fun place is where you going bowling. It surprised me. I didn't know he knew what bowling was. I am not sure he has ever been bowling, at least that he should remember. Someone at school must have talked about bowling. Michael and I decided that we would take the boys. We were feeling bad that Lincoln keep asking to go, so we splurged and went bowling tonight. The boys thought it was way fun and it sure was a treat for us to get out and doing something different. Now a days we sure don't get to do that a lot.

Halloween 2009

Halloween this year was so fun. Lincoln and Logan for so excited to dress up and go trick or treating. They had a busy Halloween. Friday night we had our ward trunk or treat and they got tons of candy. It was fun to come home and watch their faces light up when they dumped out their candy and they saw how much they really got.

Halloween day they got to dress up and go to lunch with their grandma Lulu. Lincoln dressed up as Batman and Logan was a pirate. Later that day we headed to Springville to have a little Halloween party with my family. Michael was sick that day so he missed out on all the festivities.

The kids had fun getting wrapped in toilet paper to look like mummies. Each adult took one kid and helped them get all wrapped up. Then we had a contest to see whose was the best.

Lincoln got lucky and had uncle Sheldon and his girlfriend Lolly wrap him up. Logan did not want to participate.

The best part of the mummy game was ripping off the tp and throwing the tp at grandpa! You can see from the picture all the tp fibers in the air it was a crazy mess, but way fun.

The boys also had tons of fun helping grandma rack up leaves, running through them, jumping in the piles and throwing them at each other.

A Halloween tradition in my family is to have dinner in a pumpkin. It is the best, and even better is my boys really like it too! This picture isn't the best but gives you an idea of what it is.

When it was trick or treat time everyone got their costumes on. Lincoln and Logan were lucky this year, they got to have two costumes. Lincoln was a alligator and Logan was a dinosaur (with a mustache, he didn't want me to wash it off!) Lance was the cutest little lion ever. He never complained being in the costume, he was a good sport.

Home for sale!

Many of you already know, but for those who don't we just put are house up for sale. I would love for everyone to pass the word around to those you know who might be looking for a home to buy. We have loved it here and we love our townhome, but it is time for us to move on. We are pretty anxious to get our home sold! This is a perfect house for a couple buying their first home, for a small family or for an investment property. Let me know if you have any questions.

Zoo

Mon-Thurs Lincoln is in school and is away from home for 4 hours, so getting out and doing something that might take all day and that doesn't run into nap time usually doesn't happen. So every Friday I try and take the boys some where fun, we also have playgroup that day. I have been asked to over see playgroup in our ward which is fun for me because I love to plan activities. For playgroup on October 16 we went to the zoo. It was so fun to see all the new baby animals. We had some of our friends who used to live by us come and we had a great time. Havalah also got to come and she was an angel the whole time! I just love her!

I have the cutest neighbor ever!

We live in the best neighbor's ever. I just love living here and it will be sad the day we have to move. My boys adore our neighbor Heather. They love to play with her son Gavin. Logan will ask me several times a day what is Heather doing, where is Heather, I want to play with Heather. I am sure he would rather have her as his mom, she is much more fun!! I just love her to death, so makes my life so much easier. She is always taking the boys and doing fun things with them. She has a membership to Thanksgiving Point and the Living Planet Aquarium so they go there often. Lately she has done some really cute, fun things with them. She loves to take the boys on walks through our neighborhood to look at the Halloween decorations. Just the other day she came over dressed up as a witch and read the boys Halloween books, while they snacked on ghost poop (mini marshmallows)!

Engh's Nursery

On October 9th we went with some friends in our neighborhood to Engh's Nursery. They have the cutest little area there where they are selling their pumpkins. There are tons of places to take fun holiday photos, a kiddie corn maze, and a little pirate ship for the kids to play on. My boys had a great time!

I took this group picture 10 times trying to get the perfect pictures. But it is almost impossible to get that many kids, that young to look at the camera at the same time and smile!! So I just chose the one where my boys were at least looking at some what at the camera! What a fun group of kids my boys have to play with.

Logan 2 1/2 years old

I have been wanting to do a post about Logan for over 6 months now. I never got around to blogging about his 2nd birthday, which I feel really bad about. I did a post for Lincoln, but not Logan. So one day when he is old enough and looks at this, I want him to know how much we love him.

Where do I start to tell you a little about Logan. The word WOW comes to mind!! He is our little firecracker kid. For those of you who spend anytime around him know exactly what I am talking about! He has a very strong, free spirit about him. He is just an amazing kid. When he turned 2 he was speaking at a 3 year old level. He amazes us everyday with the things he is learning. He loves to ride his bike and the faster he can go the better. He loves to wrestle with Lincoln and make Lance laugh. He definitely is our most trying boy and his strong personality at times and be very challenging. We love him to death and at other I want to ship him away. He is just the cutest little toe head ever and I hope the blond hair never goes away. Logan loves to do whatever I am doing, whether it is the dishes, laundry or cooking he is always helping me (well that is what he thinks he is doing, for me it is a test of my patience and me trying really hard to be a good mom by letting him stir the food even though it is always messier with his help).

Everytime I tell him to smile for the camera this is the smile I get!!

Wheeler Farm

Last Friday we went to Wheeler Farm with some new friends we just made a few weeks ago. We had tons of fun getting to know Michelle and her 2 1/2 year old son, Landon.
My boys instantly became best friends with Landon and Michelle. Michelle is so fun, we just have tons to talk about with each other. We meet them at the park about 2/3 weeks ago and it was funny how are names where similar and that she also had a little boy whose name started with an "L". What is even more crazy is that I really wanted to name Lance Landon but Michael didn't. Anyways here are a few pictures from our day at the farm!

Cascade Springs

This weekend we went up American Fork Canyon with Michael's mom, and two of his sister's, Heidi and Amberlie, and their families. We had so much fun. The canyon was just beautiful with all the changing leaves. It was crazy how everyone else had the same idea as us. The canyon traffic was way busy and there were crowds of people at Cascade springs.

Lincoln touch a fiber glass sign and got tons of little slivers. Poor kid his hand hurt really bad. He tried so hard to just ignore it so he could have fun with his cousins, but there were moments he just couldn't smile any more. Lincoln and Logan had a blast and already want to go back. They love being outdoors.

Lincoln and Logan have the cutest little friends ever! There are two families that live right across the street from us that both have boys Lincoln and Logan's age. They all love to play together and especially ride their bikes together up and down the sidewalk. Us mom's have fun chatting together and making sure no one goes out into the street. I don't know what Logan and Lincoln would do without their little friends. Logan loves to say he has friends and gets very upset if his friends can't play with him when he wants to. His best friend right now is Gavin's mom, Heather! He will ask me every day during breakfast if he can play with Heather! He adores her and she is so cute with him. Thanks Heather for loving Lincoln and Logan so much.

Lincoln's first day of preschool

Lincoln started preschool on Monday. This will be his first year and probably only year of preschool (depending on if we decided to wait a year to send him to kindergarten). He did really great the first day! He was a little hesitant having me leave him, but at least he wasn't one of the kids that cried when mom left like some of the others! We went to orientation the week before and it made me so nervous about having him away from home 4 days a week for 3 1/2 hours. Just hard to believe he is old enough to do this school thing. I really can't believe I have a preschooler!! His preschool is at an elementary school in Riverton. We leave every morning at 8:15 to get him there by 8:30 and then I pick him up at noon. It has been a change for our household getting up and being ready to go by 8 am, but it has been a good change. I feel like I get a lot more done and it is nice spending time with just Logan and Lance. It is a nice peaceful time with no fighting between Lincoln and Logan. They are at a stage right now that they are having a hard time playing together. Lincoln is a creator and Logan is a destroyer!! I look forward to watching Lincoln learn new things.

Lance is 8 months old!

Lance is the type of baby that everyone needs to meet and see in person. He just melts everyone's heart with he big blue eyes and big grin. He is the happiest little guy ever. I don't even know what are family would do without him. He loves watching his older brothers play and sometimes gets in on the action also. Lincoln and Logan love, love, love to get Lance laughing and it is the cutest thing ever and warms this moms heart! Lance is a very active baby, get everywhere he wants to go by rolling, army crawling, and by inch worming on his back. He is so close to crawling. He is always rocking back and forth on his hands and knees. He is like the other two boys, they army crawled forever before actually crawling. He is just starting to master picking up little baby treats, which entertains him forever.

He also loves his Munkin (a cool little baby toy that holds food in a net so babies can eat food without chocking on large pieces). I love it because I can put him on the counter next to me while I am making dinner and it keeps him busy the whole time. Yes it can be pretty messy, but it sure is yummy. He loves peaches the most.

After wards I put him in the sink to clean him up and he just sits there very content playing in the water.

He has been a great sport being the littlest brother. He just goes along with the flow of things. He misses out on a lot of naps because we are always off playing to keep the older brothers happy. Most babies would not like that and sometimes he doesn't, but for the most part he is always happy and knows that sometimes mom just can't get to him right when he wants her to. I love that I am still nursing Lance, it is our time together. We seclude ourselves in the bedroom, Lincoln and Logan know that they can not interrupt us when Lance is eating. Lance does also love his baby food, even though I don't! He is a 24/7 thumb sucker and every time we put a spoonful of food in his mouth in goes the thumb. It makes for a very messy feeding. When dad is around he does a great job of feeding him because he basically holds Lance's arms down and does not let him put his thumb in his mouth. Lance tries really hard to sneak the thumb in and will sometimes use force to pull his arms away.

I Love all the new things he is learning and can not wait for the next milestones. They are still new and exciting even though we have been through them before with the other two boys. It is so fun to watch the our little boys grow up. life could not be better, it sure would be dull without our three little L's!

Camping at Hoop Lake

The first week in August the boys and I went camping with Michael's family. Michael was not able to join us until the last night, and I don't think I have ever been so happy to see him! He got to our camp site around midnight and everyone was already in bed asleep. When he unzipped the tent door I just wanted to jump up and down with excitement (but I couldn't Lance had just fallen asleep in my arms.) It was not easy going camping with three boys under the age of 4. I had tons of help from Michael's family though!

We went camping at Hoop Lake in the high Unitas's and it was beautiful. This was definitely the start of a new family tradition. Here are just a few pictures of the many I took. Wish I could share them all with you.

The highlight of the trip for Logan was riding the horses.

One morning I took all the kids on a nature walk we had so much fun. Before we left we made bracelets out of duct tape and the idea was to put whatever they found during our little walk that they thought was pretty or really neat they picked and stuck it to their wrists. They all have tons of fun picking all the pretty wild flowers.

Lincoln and Logan loved it when it was time to go collect firewood with their aunt Sonja! Thanks aunt Sonja for taking them with you and giving me a little time to myself!

Deceptively Delicious!

I have had the Deceptively Delicious recipe book for over 1 1/2 years now and I have never used it. If you are not familiar with this recipe book it is all about adding veggie and fruit purees to your recipes. The purees add some nutritional value to your dish and to get your family to eat their veggies without even knowing it! This weekend I decided that I am going to start using it and test my boys to see if they notice the veggie purees. I spent a couple of hours tonight steaming beets, butternuts squash, and sweet potatoes, and then pureeing them in the blend. It was a lot of fun (plus I got to be with my hubby and listen to coast to coast talk radio with him while I worked!.) I was so excited when I got done at how much it all made. The test starts with breakfast, I will update you on how the family reacts.

Lincoln's birthday cake!

Lincoln loves alligators and loves to play this alligator game he made up for him and Logan. The game consist of putting anything and everything they can find to step on so they don't touch the floor (which is water!) and to keep away from the alligator that is swimming in the water. He also loves to do the same type of game at the park. So because of that I decided to make him an alligator birthday cupcake-cake. Thanks for the idea Trisa!

Lincoln's 4th birthday party

Lincoln turned 4 years old on July 28th, and I can't even believe it!! We celebrated his birthday the night before with a little birthday party at the Herriman splash park. Lincoln had a great time and has so many family and friends who love him tons!

Our July has been full of fun things and I am sad that I have not kept up with our doings on our blog! I am so far behind it would take me all day to get caught up and this mom of three wild little boys does not have time for that (I wish!!). I will just give you a quick recap on our month and try better in August to kept up.

July 3rd we went as a family to the zoo (Lincoln and Logan's favorite place!)

July 10th the kids and I walked the Provo river trail with my mom and siblings to Bridal Veil Falls.

July 17th I took the boys to one of our favorite places, the splash park in Herriman. It is such a fun place to go to cool off on hot days. If you ever want to go give us a call we would love to go! Lincoln and Logan loved drying off and getting warm laying on the hot cement. I totally did that all the time as a kid!

July 18th Draper Days. In the morning we went to the parade with: Michael's sister Amberlie and her family, Michael's mom, Our niece Shaylie, and my friend Claudine and her daughter Emily.
That night we went to the carnival at the city park and the boys loved seeing the 250 lb boa snake!

Days of 47 parade preview. Our good friends Shawn and Angie invited us to go to the parade preview and we are so glad they did! We loved it and our boys just adore Aubrey and Bethany! They also treated us after wards to cookies and Paradise Bakery. Thanks Shawn and Angie for a really fun night!

July 24th Pioneer Day. We spent the afternoon of Pioneer day in American Fork Canyon with my family. We had a great time roasting hot dogs, eating watermelon,

making s'mores,

and watching the kids having fun getting dirty.

July 25th we headed back up American Fork Canyon to going hiking at Tibble Fork Reservoir with my mom.

After our hike the boys crashed for a long, much needed nap. It was cute to see them both laying together on the couch.

July 28th my neighbor and I took our boys to Thanksgiving Point petting farm. It was way fun. This was the first time Logan rode the horses there. He usually is to scared to get on the horses, but his time all he wanted to do was ride the horses. He totally did it all by himself, I didn't even have to walk beside him. He held on like he was a pro horse rider!

I really can not believe that my little Lance is already 6 months. He is growing like a weed, still very small, but growing fast!!

Lance now weighs 13lbs 9 oz and is 26 3/4 inches long. Lance is the happiest baby ever, he loves to talk and smile at everyone he sees. His big blue eyes can melt your heart in an instant. He just started eating baby food about 2 weeks ago and loves it. He is our little kicker and loves to be in his johnny jumper. He is starting to sit up on his own, just got his 2 front bottom teeth, he can roll over from his stomach to his back and vise verse, he is our little inch worm he scoots around on his back by moving his body like a worm and snake. The thing I love the most is when he is just chilling laying on his back holding his foot and sucking his thumb. We love our baby "Wance", as Logan calls him.

One of the best times in my life was when I was living at Carriage Cove Apartments in Provo. I lived there with Kim and Shanna from my mission. The funny thing about us living there is that all three of us meet our husbands living there. While Kim was in town we decided to get a few of us together and go to dinner. We had so much fun visiting for hours together and getting caught up on all of our happenings.

The week of June 22nd we spent a lot of our time with Kim and Shanna (dear friends from my mission), and their kids. Kim lives in Las Vegas and I don't get to see her much, so it was so fun spending so much time with her and her boys during the week. She is a great friend and we always have so much fun together. She also has 3 darling little boys. Lincoln told me the first day we spent time with them that Evan and Mason where his best friends and he loved them! On Father's day we spent sometime at the hospital visiting Michael's dad. It was really nice to visit with him and have dinner with him at the cafeteria. The boys love when we visit him because grandpa takes them for a ride on his wheelchair.

With tomorrow being Father's Day I just wanted to let the two greatest fathers in the world know how much I love and appreciate them.

My dad: If you don't know my dad he is the best!! He is a very loving man and would do anything for anyone. He is my spiritual giant and one who I look up to a lot. He is a very dedicated, hard worker. He also loves to have fun and loves to make you laugh. He is very clever with his quick comebacks and jokes (even though most of the time I not very good at getting them! ha ha)

The other worlds greatest dad is the father of my little boys!

I don't think I know a father who loves his children more then Michael does! He is so good at telling his children several times a day how much he loves them. He never leaves the house without telling them good bye and giving them hugs and kisses and the same when he gets home. Most fathers need their cave time when they get home from work, not Michael, he jumps right into being dad when he gets home from work everyday. He is with his boys from the moment he gets home and until they go to bed at night. He is the greatest for so many reasons: he is loving, playful, helpful and is very caring and does a great job and taking care of his family even when it is hard.

Thanks Michael being there for us and making life so enjoyable for us. Thanks for allowing me the opportunity to be a mother and for working so hard so I can stay at home with our children.

Air Show June 6, 2009

We spent most of the day Saturday, June 6th up at Hill Air Force base for their air show. This was something Michael did every year with his family when he was kid, and we are going to start a tradition and take our kids. It was really fun to see all the planes and to watch the planes and jet fly right by us. Lance and Logan did not really like the loud jets, but Lincoln thought it was the coolest thing ever!

Easter this year was so fun! The boys were so excited that the Easter bunny visited and what was even better was the fact that Lincoln really took interest in learning about the true meaning of Easter.

Grandpa Kirby

Many of you might or might not know that Michael's dad was in a really bad car accident on January 19th. He had to be life flighted from the accident. He suffered 8 broken ribs, a head injury, a punctured lung, and a broken back. His back injury is so bad that it severed his spinal cord and and he is going to be paralyzed from his chest down. He has spent 2 long months in the hospital. He has progressed so far from the day he entered the hospital, which we are so happy about. He will be leaving the hospital this week to enter a rehab center in Draper. Michael's family has set up a blog in his honor and to update everyone on how he is doing. We would love for you all to check it out and to keep our Grandpa Kirby in your prayers.

Lincoln was feeling a little left out when I showed him the last post I did on Logan. He told me: "mom I want my new hair cut on there too!" Last weekend Michael took Lincoln to get his hair cut and then he bought him this blue hair gel that works really well in keeping his hair spiked all day. He loves it so much that we have caught him a few times spiking his own hair in the bathroom and then putting the gel in himself. He is so proud of himself when he does his own hair! Today we put the gel in Lincoln's hair and Logan keep saying he wanted his hair blue too.

last week it snowed and the boys could not wait to go out and play in it. They had so much fun throwing snow balls at each other and making a snowman. The snow man melted by the end of the day and Lincoln wasn't very happy about that!

My sister and I had fun one day trying to be professional photographers and took a few photos of Lance. Here are a few to show you how much he is growing. He is probably a little over 8 lbs by now. He is a doll! We are having so much fun with him. His big brothers love it when they can get him to smile at them, it makes them get so excited. Michael and I love to just sit and hold Lance and watch him smile and make his little baby giggle noises. It melts our hearts. Our three boys have brought us so much joy. They have changed our lives and have blessed us beyond measure.

Lance Richmond Ludvigson

On January 7, 2009 Lance Richmond Ludvigson joined our family! He weighed 5 lbs 14 oz and was 18 inches long.

Many of you might not know that for the last 20 weeks of our pregnancy our little Lance had been watched over very carefully by many great doctors. During our routine 20 week ultrasound our little guy was diagnosed with echogenic bowel, which means brightness in the bowel. This gave us a little scare! There were many possibilities as to what this could mean. It meant he could be born with cystic fibrosis, down syndrome, a blocked bowel, or some sort of chromosome disorder. Every 4 weeks we saw a maternal fetal medicine doctor for ultrasounds, dopplers, and non stress test. Every visit they would tell us that everything with our baby looked fine that there seems to be no real concerns, but they still wanted to keep close tabs on the baby. Towards the last few weeks of pregnancy the baby's growth was watched closely and the last 3 weeks of pregnancy the doctor discovered that Lance was not growing. I wanted so badly to have this baby VBAC so they let me go as long as I could. Finally about 6 days before our due date they really insisted on getting the baby here because of this growth. With that news and a lot of tears on my part knowing that I would not have this baby vaginally we went in on the Jan. 7th for another c-section (3rd one!!) Lance was born with his blood sugar level at 17 when 40-50 is normal. That right there showed us that he was not getting the nutrients he needed. He was on an IV for 4 days to help maintain his sugar levels. Finally the night before we were to go home he was able to maintain his sugar levels on his own. It was a happy day for us! Lance was in the level 2 nursery the whole time during our 5 day stay in the hospital. We became really good friends with all the nurses and loved them all for taking such great care of our little guy.

Sorry this took me so long to post. I have spent my spare time sleeping instead of playing on the computer. being a mother of 3 under 3 1/2 is all time consuming!

Last night my sister-in-laws and I were able to go see the first showing of Twilight and we didn't even have to wait in line. It was awesome and the movie was the best! Edward is so dreamy!! This morning when Lincoln woke up and saw that it had snowed he was so excited! It was like it was Christmas morning. By the time we got around to taking him outside to play in the snow it was pretty much melted. So we decided to go for a short drive up the mountain and look for some snow to play in. We found a great park covered in snow! Lincoln was in high heaven. Logan on the other hand had more fun playing in car, which is his favorite thing to do!!

Boating on Utah Lake

On Saturday (September 13th) we went boating with some of our family and had a ball. It was the boys first time on a boat and they loved it. We were on the boat for over 2 hours and they did not complain once about the heat or having to wear their life jackets the whole time. It was fun watching Michael wave surf and show off his moves.

Lincoln and Logan also wanted to join in on the water fun. Lincoln shocked me when we wanted to go for a ride with his cousins on the tube. He loved it!! When he was done Logan started complaining and pointing out to the water, so we decided to let him go for a ride also (of course with dad by his side!!). The whole time both boys were happy as could be. You can't really tell from the pictures that Logan was happy , but he was!

Kindermusik

Lincoln and Logan just finished their first week of Kindermusik and they LOVE IT!! Lincoln goes on Tuesday morning all by himself for 30 minutes and then I join him for the last 10 minutes. He is already learning so much. Today I heard him singing a song from class today, he was singing "kookooreekoo" over and over. That is what a rooster say in Hebrew. I was thrilled!! One of my favorite times of our day is when we turn our Kindermusik cd's on and we sing and dance around the front room. They each have their own little music instruments (shakers & bells) and love making lots of noise with them!!

Logan has his Kindermusik class on Thursday mornings which Lincoln gets to go with us and the three of us have a ball spending the time together singing, dancing and just having mommy bonding time, away from the stress of home life! So I figured because this is my blog that it is okay to brag about a few projects I have done lately. I love doing projects that I have made and the fulfillment I get when I am done. A few weeks ago I made a few diaper/wipe holders. I made them for our Relief Society talent auction. They were a hit and I was thrilled! They are fun and cheap to make. They are the new in thing at high end baby boutiques and cost a lot there.

I have also been having fun adding to my food storage by canning and making freezer jam and plan to do more!

We found out on Thursday what the next Ludvigson baby is going to be and we are thrilled! Hopefully from the photos below you can guess, if not, then scroll to the end and we will reveal the big surprise!!!

So as you can see from the photos, we are having a BABY BOY!!! I think Michael and I are still in shock of the idea of having 3 boys, but we are excited and can't wait for the day of his arrival which is around January 11, 2009.

$2 Tuesdays at Thanksgiving Point!!

I just found out that every Tuesday in August it cost $2 to get into Thanksgiving Points Farm Country, Dinosaur Museum, and Gardens. That is a great deal when it is usually like $9! So we will be taking advantage of that for sure. This afternoon my cute neighbor, Heather, and I took our boys to see the farm animals at the Farm Country. They loved it!

Logan didn't really like me leaving him on the cow!!

Lincoln had his 3rd birthday on July 28th! He was so excited to have his little dinosaur party. For about a week he would ask everyday if his party was that day. We love our little stud Lincoln so much. I am not sure what Michael and I would do without him. Here are a few photos from his party.

We made dinosaur cupcakes for his party. He loved that he got to help make them by putting the dinosaurs on top of the green grass!!

For his dino party we played two really fun games. First we played stegosaurus stomp game which is like playing musical chairs, but instead of chair the kids went around in a circle walking on dino footprints. They loved it!! The kids then went on a dinosaur egg hunt. They had so much fun!

Tonight when we were saying bedtime prayers with the boys, Lincoln brought me to tears! Lincoln usually says the prayer and always needs help. Tonight Michael asked Lincoln if he needed help and he said yes, so right before Michael was about to tell Lincoln what to say Lincoln started his prayer without help. We started the prayer correctly and then started to give thanks for his family, the food, the food, the food, and baby Logan. What a joy for a mother to hear her son say his first prayer.

I guess it takes some really exciting news for me to get around to updating our family blog!! Sorry for those who check us out regularly that is has been almost 2 months. We have done some really fun things I just have slacked at posting and sharing them with everyone. I will do better!

So on with the exciting news...Lincoln and Logan are both going to be big brothers in January. Yes, I am pregnant!! We are way excited and can't wait to find out what we are having which will happen on August 22nd. I am about 17 weeks along, and this pregnancy has been a breeze! I have been pretty tired, but that isn't much to complain about.

On Friday, June 6th the boys and I went to Wheeler Farm with our playgroup. It was so much fun and FREE!! Lincoln and Logan had a ball. The best part was watching the boys feed the ducks and the geese. Logan just said duck over and over. Here a few pictures from our little outing. Enjoy!

I just had to share a few things about my handsome little boys, because I love them so much. I know I am their mom, but they are so cute, do the funniest thing, and are the smartest ever!! I love being their mommy! Let me tell you a little about them.

Lincoln love animals and dinosaurs (that is an understatement!) He has so many toy dinosaurs and animals. His most favorite thing to do is to line his animals up and he is very creative and particular about it. The thing that frustrates him the most is when his little brother wants to play to and knocks his animals over. He has become very clever about thinking of spots to set up his animals so that "baby brother" doesn't get them.

Logan loves to tease us all. He loves to squirm away when you are trying to change his diaper or get him dressed. He makes it into a game. When he gets away he will look back at you to see what your reaction is and then give you a little smirk and crawl away. He also loves to try and get outside, he loves being outside! He loves to ride his little push toy down the sidewalk, and loves it even more if you push him. Today when he got outside he crawled, crawled, and crawled forever. he didn't want to stop. I finally picked him up to head home when I could not see our house anymore, and his little toes where so scraped up (that didn't seem to bother him). He wasn't to happy about the idea of heading home. Later that night he got out of the house again, and crawled down the street in just his diaper. This time the hard sidewalk was not so comfortable on his knees so he crawled on all four, it was a sight. When I figure out how to post video I will share the funny moment with you. You are probably wondering why I am posting a picture of our stairs? Well if you have ever been to our home you know our staircase if very long and steep. For months Logan has been able to crawl up the stairs with ease. Today Logan did something new. He was upstairs playing with Lincoln and Michael and I guess he decided he was done and wanted to see what mom was up to. I could hear a noise of something sliding down the stairs, so I peeked around the corner up the stairs and there was Logan sliding down the stairs! I was floored. I guess after watching Lincoln doing it so many times, and dad showing him how once he decided he was ready. I went back to the kitchen door and waited for him to come down. he acted like nothing happened, just wanted to be with mom now! He isn't walking yet, but with everything else he can do I know it will be soon. It will just have to be on his time, not ours.

My ward Relief Society presidencies just gave me this thought and I loved it so much I had to share.

We each do the best we can. My best may not be as good as your best, but it's my best. The fact is that we know when we are doing our best and when we are not. If we are not doing our best, it leaves us with a gnawing hunger and frustration. But when we do our level best, we experience a peace. We are all in this together. We need each other. Oh, how we need each other. Those of us who are old need you who are young. And, hopefully, you who are young need some of us who are old. It is a sociological fact that women need women. Tub time and poop don't mix!!

I just had to share with everyone something really gross Lincoln did the other day. One day while Lincoln was taking a bath he told me he was going to poop! I talked to him about how we don't do that and that he needed to use the big boy toilet, and he said OK! Well a few minutes later while I was in the other room I heard the good old grunting sound starting. I didn't make to the bathroom in time, he had done his duty. I got him out of the tub and then I scooped the poop out with a cup and placed it in the toilet. So the next day while Lincoln was taking another bath I went in to check on him and there was water all over the floor and on the toilet seat. He had the look on his face of I just did something really good and I am a big boy! So I asked him why there was water all over and he said "I poop". Yikes!! So I looked in the tub and there was no poop, then I looked in the toilet- there it was! So I guess he wanted to clean it up himself like mom did the day before! This is the first time in his short few years of life that he has pooped in the tub, and hopefully this doesn't become a regular thing either. I guess we need to really start getting serious about potty training!!

Many of you have asked to see photos from my Hawaii trip. Here are a few. My camera stopped working while I was there so most of the pictures I took are on my little brothers camera. I just need to get on his case to get those to me!! I loved my time in Hawaii, and now I know why Sheldon had such a hard time leaving after his mission was done. It is absolutely breath taking. We stay on Oahu and the big Island. We did so much and saw so many amazing site. This post would be a novel if I told you every detail. Call me if you want the ins and outs. Hopefully I will get more photos posted soon.

Missing my 3 boys dearly!

Aloha! Gee it has been a while since my last post. I had a few extra minutes tonight and wanted to write and tell my boys how much I am missing them. On May 2nd I left my boys and journeyed off to Hawaii. Michael has done an awesome job being the best dad ever to his little boys he loves so much. Thank you so much to those who have helped in watching Lincoln and Logan during the day when Michael has to be away from home. Lincoln and Logan have great aunts who love them dearly and who have helped in caring for them while I have been gone. I am having a great time here in Hawaii with my family. Now I know why Sheldon (my little brother) doesn't want to go home. He is staying 2 weeks longer then us, making it almost a month over here. We are heading home tomorrow night, making it home just in time to celebrate Mother's Day with my sexy hubby and cute little boys. Come back soon for more details and photos of Hawaii!

What a great day full of fun!

Today was a great day. I really can't believe how much stuff I fit into today. I know most of you don't want to hear the details of my day, oh well I am going to tell you anyways. (this blog is like my journal!)
Our day started off by Logan having his 1 year check up. He is doing great, most kids at his age know 1-3 words Logan know about 4 to 5 we are proud of that!! After the dr. we had my nephews, Liam and Riley, over for a few hours while Sonya got her hair done. We had so much fun playing outside-HURRAY!! We even had a little picnic.

Then we all made cookies together. Lincoln has been wanting to make cookies since we went to storytime at the library on Wed. Storytime was about food and they made chef hats. He loves to bake with me, he is going to be a great chef someday I know it!!

Later on in the day we went to Arctic Circle to play. I can't forget to mention that Sheldon, my brother, joined in the fun of playing with the kids at Arctic Circle. After Sonya (my sister) and her boys went home Jamie (my sister) came and spent the evening with us. We went to the park and Lincoln and Havalah had a great time!! After the kids went to bed Jamie and I watched August Rush together (Jamie had to leave early because of Havalah so hopefully she gets a chance to finish the movie another time). It was a must see movie!

There's a quick wrap up of my day. A great day spent with those I love so much! It is great to have sisters and a brother who I can call my closest friends!

A week full of birthdays!

On April 4th it was my dad's birthday, Michael's was the 5th and Logan's 1st birthday was on the 6th. We had a little family party for Logan and Michael on Sunday to celebrate. We had a lite dinner at Draper Park for both sides of the family, thanks to everyone who came and joined in the fun! It was a chilly evening, but the kids had fun seeing their cousins and eating cake and ice cream.

I am not sure how I feel about this as a mom, but dad sure thinks its cool! A few weeks ago Lincoln wanted to play on the computer like Dad does (Lincoln loves to sit on his dads lap and play computer games with him), so we let him play some online games on PBSKIDS.org. He loved playing teletubbies. He has mastered how to use the mouse and plays all sort of kids games. It is so funny to watch him on the computer.

Lincoln having fun in the cold!

Yesterday Lincoln wanted to play outside so bad, but it was so cold. I finally gave in and bundled him up and let him play in the back yard. After a few minutes he came to the door and said "my fingers are cold". So I rounded up the gloves and off he went back to playing. He had a great time. Our sand box is now filled with water and has a thin layer of ice on top. Lincoln thought it was so cool how he could pull big sheets of ice off and drop them on the ground and they would shatter. I had so much fun watching him (when he didn't know I was!) discover how sheets of ice shatters when you drop it. He is such an outdoors kid.

Logan made such a mess of himself today eating that I decided to just put him in the sink to clean him. He loved it!! If I would've let him he would have stayed there for hours. He sure let me know when I turned off the water that he wasn't happy.

This post has been in the making for a month now! I had problems with the photos so I gave up. I recommitted myself tonight to get it done.

As many of you might already know Michael and I went on a cruise to Cozumel and Belize the end of January. It was hard for me to leave our little boys but knew they would be in good hands and loved tons. I didn't worry to much about Lincoln but on the other hand I really worried about Logan because he was still nursing. It was hard on Logan, but he did great! I have to thank all those who helped us out by watching our precious guys while we were gone. Michael's sister, Amberlie, deserves a millions thanks for watching Logan for us. Thank you to my sister Sonya and my girlfriend Erin for also helping out with Logan. Michael's mom was a dear to stay with Lincoln at our house. During the day while she went to work Lincoln had fun playing at Aunt Sonja's, Aunt Sonya's, and Angie's house. Thank You so much!!

I don't really know what to tell you about our cruise without writing a novel. I will sum it up by saying we were sick the whole time and didn't even get to see Belize! We really got to know our room really well. Not to many pictures were taken because we were asleep a lot, which is really sad. Here are a few that we did get. The pictures are mainly of our one excursion we did get to do in Cozumel. It was really fun, even though I didn't feel well. We drove jeeps from our port into town where we then hopped on Rhino ATVs. We rode the rhinos for a ways through the jungle along the shoreline. Once we reached our destination we went snorkeling. That was the best part, it was amazing! We saw so many fish and the best part was it helped cool my fever and I felt great in the water. On our way back to our port we stop to see some ruins, a few alligators, an iguana and just had a really good time.

If you haven't been on cruise you have to go. We are now cruise experts, this was our 3rd cruise.

Just when we thought the naps were over!

About a month or so ago Lincoln started getting really hard to put down for his nap. He would fight tooth and nail not to go down. So we gave up and decided to stop doing naps. That was a sad day for mom! Well this week Lincoln has been falling asleep on the couch around 3:00 pm and taking a good long 2 2 1/2 hour nap. This is really messing up our early bedtime schedule that Michael and I like, because we have our evenings free to ourselves. both boys were going down around 7:30-8 pm. Well now that is changing with the on the couch nap thing. Here a few photos of Lincoln sleeping. You will notice in one of the pictures my little barrier that keeps him from falling off the couch. I started doing that because the first day on the couch he fell off and didn't like that!!!

About a month ago the boys were bathing together and they were having so much fun and were so dang cute. It is so fun for me to see how my boys are growing and to see them interact with each other. Logan is 10 months old in this picture and Lincoln is 2 1/2 years old. More fun times to come.. I can't wait.
